Was passing through and decided to stop for an evening meal in the bar. Tammy took our order. She was very friendly and helpful explaining menu. Good selection and meal deals with 2 courses at £9.95. Food was ok. I thought my chicken dish with mash and peppered sauce was average. Food tasted bland. My dessert of chocolate brownie was... More

Had occasion to dine in the Silverhill Restaurant at Walsh's Hotel (Maghera, NOT Magherafelt!) with some business associates. Our food was selected from the "Jack's Bar" extensive menu. I had breaded mushrooms with garlic sauce, followed by a "Walsh's Burger" (huge steakburger with ham and cheese) while others had battered cod, chicken, sausages and mash. We were given huge bowls... This hotel in in Maghera NOT Magherafelt. Five of us had a meal in the bar/restaurant 30th April. Lasagne, Mexican chicken stack and Caesar salads. Well presented excellent meals. Superb service. Some renovations going on and it was a quiet night but we will return.

Stayed here with my absolute partner on a Treat Ticket deal - meal for 2, room and breakfast all for £59. The thermostat broke when we arrived leaving the room very cold but we were assured they had men working on it. Unfortunately we waited about 2 hours for it to pick up but still cold. Hotel receptionist Orla moved... More

We visited Walsh’s Hotel using a voucher which we received as a gift so in terms of value for money I cannot really comment. What I can say is that while this is very much a 3 star hotel the friendliness of the staff does set it apart. The room we had was large, clean and with good facilities i.e.... More
