Book early because this is not a secret. Reasonable rates, nice rooms, friendly staff, and right next to Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We've stayed here twice and will again. Check out little used book shop across the street. Crammed with books, but the owner is fun to chat with and has been there for 30 years.

Every Spring Break and a week in August, we take the family to Durango and the Durango Lodge. It is a perfect location where we get free parking and can walk to all the sites for lunch, shopping, dinner and of course the train depot. It is right next to Ralph Lauren too! The rooms are so well kept and... More

This hotel was on my GPS list so I decided to take a look at it because nearly everything else in the area that was affordable was booked. I was apprehensive upon arriving at the property because it looked old and dingy, but it was late and we had already tried several other hotels. The young man at the front... More

The hotel was nice and very reasonably priced, but the man at the check in desk was SO rude!! He obviously hates people, so why would they let him deal with guests? Other than his complete lack of professionalism or courtesy, it was ok but left us feeling dissatisfied.

The hotel was ok, but our stay was completely ruined by the EXTREMELY RUDE young man at the front desk. He was obviously bothered to have to check us in and was completely unhelpful when asked about dining possibilities. We had stayed there previously, and the front desk lady was incredibly nice and friendly........guess they don't keep the friendly ones!!... More

My family and I stayed here on a roadtrip to Flagstaff. It was centrally located and walking distance to a variety of places including move theater, shopping, etc. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was right. Would definitely stay here again when in Durango. My only complaint was parking was a bit limited.

We booked a single night here as we wanted to be close to all the "action" in downtown without paying $100+ per night. The Lodge is located 1/2 block from the Silverton & Durango train station and is easy walking distance to movie theaters, shopping and a myriad of restaurants. The room was comfortable and recently remodeled, and parking on-site... More

It's located right near the train station in Durango and walking distance from everything else in town. We felt the staff were nice. The hallways could use a little more light, but the rooms were nice and clean. Nothing fancy, but pretty good for the price and location. I would stay here again if I'm in Durango again.

This hotel is centrally located, just a minutes walk from the Durango railway station. There is free parking for residents and the rooms are very clean. It has free high speed wi-fi and an inclusive continental breakfast which is a standard breakfast for this type of place. There is also a hot tub which we didn't use. For value for... More

I stayed here one night. It's a plain, no frills kind of place, but very reasonably priced and is located right downtown. It's right near the train station. The room was very clean, and the person at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. There was a continental breakfast, nothing great (some bagels and cold cereal), but again I wasn't... More
