Recently made our first trip out to Loveland Ski Area for some spring skiing. Even though the season has been weak there were some decent trails. If your looking for a day trip for skiing then Loveland is your best bet. Within an hour from Denver you can be skiing. We've been to Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone and granted Loveland... While this was the worst season for snow, I still had a great time. Spring skiing was tough as the snow got really heavy towards lunch and all afternoon. I'd never been drenched in sweat while skiing! All lifts were running and I never waited to get on a lift. Some good runs listed at 2 miles and I know... More

Skied Loveland for the first time over Presidents weekend to avoid the crowds. The place has massive amounts of terrain, beautiful scenery, and a friendly atmosphere. The place is hidden right under the noses of people headed to the 'name' resorts on the other side of the decide. And with a 4 pack the lift tickets were $30! More

Good price, good location before the tunnel - saves going thru the pass if you are just looking for a day trip skiing from Denver. Rents all equipment and clothes too. More

I lack the verbiage to adequately describe how AWESOME the instructors were here. My son took his first lesson here and within one day was onto the chair lifts doing beginner green circle runs. In the beginning he was getting angry and frustrated because he wasn't grasping the techniques as quickly as the other children. The instructors were patient, reassuring... More

My family goes to Loveland every year. We live in Kansas, right off I-70 and the drive is pretty easy. We always go in March during spring break. We are not foo foo posers. When we go to ski and ride, that's what we do. We are not looking to impress anyone with our new outfit or to be seen... More

Just got back from a 2009 Christmas trip to Colorado. We went skiing at The Loveland Ski Resort. It was great. It is the first ski resort on I-70 west. The Valley Ski School (Turn Left twice after exiting I-70) was a great find. It has an all day ski school for kids up to age 14. It includes Lunch... More

I have the Colorado ski pass, but wanted to try a different ski area. Every time I pass Loveland on I-70, I think, "why would anyone build a ski resort on the Continental Divide?" The pass always seems to be covered in a cloud. It just looks cold. I went anyway last weekend. It's really close to Denver, the lift... More

First let me say that Loveland is not a resort. There are no flashy shops, coffee bars or hotels, but that is what makes it the perfect place to ski. The variety of terrain is fabulous and the view from the top of chair 9 over ththe continental divide is spectacular. There is plenty of terrain for beginners and many... More

Loveland was a very poor experience overall. The employees were rude, and unhelpful, nobody seemed to care. Trails were poorly marked, and cover was thin and rocky compared to nearby Copper Mountain where the coverage was superb. It does cost less for a lift ticket than other bigger resorts, but it is well worth it to drive right on by... More
