It was challenging to find a good place to stay in Idaho Springs, and the Columbine Inn looked like it would be the best. It was in a good location on the main road, within an easy walk of downtown. It was a cute little non-chain motel and the owner was very friendly. I am encouraged to see that recent... More

We were on our way to Moab and stopped in Idaho Springs before making our way through the Rockies. Idaho Springs in a quaint little, historic mining town. Stopped at the Indian Hot Springs first since place looked inviting sitting along a stream. I went in and rates were a bit high from what we had expected. I was able... More

My job requires me to travel often to Idaho Springs... I was desperate for a room one night and ran into Columbine Inn hoping for a good rate and a good night's sleep.... Well, what I got was HOOKED UP with an awesome reasonable rate (well under my per diem rate for the government: saving taxpayers dollars!!). They appreciated the... More

Older place, but on the main road in town. It was clean and relatively quiet. It have character, not just another chain hotel on the interstate system. Friendly staff. More

We've stayed at Columbine Inn twice after trying three other motels in Idaho Springs. Even though the room we stayed in #5 had dated furniture and bedding the room was very clean and comfortable. We purposely wanted a room with a kitchenette but to our surprise there were NO kitchen accessories. It's important for travelers to know this that is... More

We were astonished when we walked into our room at the Columbine Inn in Idaho Springs. We expected modest accommodations in this small town. Our room (for a VERY modest price) was perfectly appointed. I am a flight attendant of 43 years and consider myself a hotel “expert”. The room was beautifully decorated. All possible amenities & personal touches -... More

Newly renovated efficiency room. Quiet, home-like, clean, and comfortable. Nice walk over to the downtown for dinner. Would like to have stayed longer, but were passing through. More

Room was clean and comfortable. Could not get the heat to work. Grounds a little unkept but still looked better than most of the other hotels. Would not want to stay for an extended period of time but ok for a stopping point. More

We stayed in Idaho Springs as a jumping-off point for hiking, rafting, and fishing in the area. The Columbine Inn was a great choice! It's so convenient -- right off the highway and you can easily walk to Starbucks for coffee in one direction or to groceries and the charming downtown area in the other direction. Although it's close to... More

I don't normally write reviews---no time, for thing one, but typically, when I travel, my accomodations are average or better, so I don't worry about writing a review. In this case, I must do so! I called the hotel in advance of my arrival to inform them that a package was coming for me overnight with a new Discover Card... More
