I don't know what the negative reviews are talking about!?1? We were completely happy with our experience at the Cow Palace. This hotel has been renovated and updated and it is a delight. Can't disagree more with past reviews. Very respectful staff and the food was very good! Slept well and appreciated the cleanliness. (The military can do that for you.) Very patriotic with American flags flying, made me feel right at home. Thank you for the military discount! Glad I saw it for myself!

Room with no heat. A room with a rubber band around toilet flusher and float that had to be removed to flush the toilet. A room that had to have the lock repaired in order to clock the door. Desk had to be called twice, wait was 45 minutes and then serviceman arived and still had to go get tools.... More

Little hot water, would not say the room was clean. Whole place felt neglected and dirty. Rude staff at check in. Dinner took over 2 1/2 hours to be served. We waited for an hour for a sub-par dinner salad, and the entree was terrible. Staff was not attentive at all.

I did not expect much from a fairly old motel; however was pleasantly surprised. the atrium is such a nice feature, plus a clean pool and large hot tub. The restaurant was also very reasonable for dinner. Staff was friendly. We come through Lamar at least three times per year and have found a new stopping place!
