We recently spent three days in the Cinnamon Bear cabin and could not have asked for a better place to get away from the stresses of our everyday lives. Scott and Laura were gracious hosts and accommodated our delayed schedule due to the snow storm that shut down I-70 on our route. The cabins were surrounded by the most beautiful... More

We had a few snags in our plans in the leading days of the vacation, and Scott was able to work with us to accommodate our needs. Because of his hospitality and willing to understand "life gets in the way", I wouldn't hesitate staying here again. As a matter of fact, we're in the process of planning another trip here,... More

Recently stayed overnight in one of the lodge's cabins, and couldn't have been happier with it. Dropped in a gorgeous setting, with heat and a working kitchen…I didn't want to leave. Oh, and Scott and Laura were informative, helpful and gracious hosts!

My husband and I spent two wonderful days at this special place. We stayed in the Mt. Massive room in the main lodge and it was lovely. Great views from the room! The aspens were spectacular and there is an area along the river not far away were there is a great walk. Also did a circuit drive through Leadville,... More

We stayed in the Prospector Cabin for 2 nights, and hit the fall color perfectly. Had happy hour on the beach next to the river each evening; sat and listened to the water and looked at the beautiful golden hillside while sipping wine. The cabin was simple but perfect and well-equipped--we're not fancy folks. It had everything we needed, including... More

We stayed at Mt Elbert Lodge for 2 nights in Waterwheel Cabin. We got lucky and hit the fall foliage at the peak color. It was a great place to get away from the busy hot lifestyle of Austin. The cabin was nicely equiped with anything that we needed. It was very isolated which was a nice bonus. I had... More

My daughter and I stayed in the Cinnamon Bear Cabin for three nights while we were on our annual fishing trip. We absolutely loved being at the Mount Elbert Lodge. The cabin was GREAT! It was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms and bathroom were comfortable. Barbecue grill was a great asset and we used it twice.... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the Prospector cabin. The kitchen contained all the supplies we could possibly need to make our meals. We utilized every part of the cabin, even the fire pit and grill outside. During times of rest, I even managed to put together one of the 1000 piece puzzles. The stove kept us warm... More

We rented the 5 bdrm B&B as a cabin in order to watch the race climb Independence Pass. It is only 13 miles from the summit. We had full use of the kitchen, dining room, TV room, living area, plus the bdrms upstairs. It was an excellent choice. It was very clean, extremely comfortable, and we had a great time.
