Stayed at the Red Carpet for 2 nights while on business near New Haven. The price was well below standard chains and the room was a cut above. Everything was newly renovated and comfortable. Since you can't book online, I called the motel directly. Their "front" rooms were all booked and all they had left were the back rooms. The room was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable and it's a very well maintained property. It is also very well lite and as a single traveler felt safe on the property. I would not hesitate to stay here again. More
