We had our wedding ceremony and reception last month, and it was perfect!! The food was outstanding, the chef took his own creative spin on a couple of our dishes, which came out great!!! The staff was attentive and accommodating, and we could not have been more impressed! Great job done by all!! Definitely going back for all of our... More

We stayed in Litchfield to attend area graduation first weekend in June. Called hotel directly for reservation and was delighted to talk to friendly, helpful staff member. Hotel's location was great. Stayed in Room 106 which was recently renovated. 2 Queen beds - linens and towels crisp and fresh. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and accommodating.... More

Mother's Day brunch experience the worst ever!! My family and I were very much looking forward to sharing the holiday at Banton Bistro with our grandmother. We drove in from Westchester county in New York to pick her up in Torri ngton and were running late for our reservation, however we did call while we were on the road. When... More

Hi! Ms. Karren, It feels really bad to read about your experience at our Bistro. I personally extend my apologies for the discomfort you & your family had in-spite of all the efforts that were being made to comfort our guests. I appreciate your being frank on your feedback and that it should have never happened. Since we were having... More

Nice little hotel with great staff. The restaurant and bar are very good with a great happy hour menu. Location is great for those who need to stay close to town or taking in the sites or wine tour. Other reviews mention rooms being dated. They are renovating and all you have to do us ask for the newer wing.... More

We stayed in room 311, I think the others rooms next to us were also dog friendly. The room was very spacious and had a very comfortable bed (firm, not saggy). The room was clean and had everything we needed, and even better for us had a nice nook by the bathroom where we put our crib. It gave us... More

We chose this place based upon their website. The first room at the top of the stairs had a horribly strong air freshener odor. The next room they gave us was the Irish room (made so by the map on the wall + plastic Irish setter busts on the plastic mantle with the faux fire). Burns in the paper thin... More

My room was VERY comfortable and cozy - I wished I could've stayed a few more nights.. There was a cute 2-person chair/sofa that made cuddling up in front of the faux fireplace, watching a movie, and drinking some wine a very enjoyable experience. Speaking of wine, I went downstairs to get two glasses but the bar and restaurant were... More

We got a great deal in March to stay in a Jr. Suite with a King bed and cute sitting area (room 210). We asked for a quiet room, and it definitely was. We were lucky in that we didn't have loud neighbors either, but the Inn didn't have thin walls where you could hear everything either. Also our room... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and it always thrills me to hear of the staff being so accommodating! With the recent renovations, we still have a few lose ends to tie up, i.e. the sitting areas. Those are on our list to finish up along with the... More

Most of my travel involves photography and early morning hours, I generally try to find a room as close as possible to the area I will be photographing. I found the Litchfield Inn while researching for a trip to the area for a visit to the Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy, which is very nearby. From their website and online reviews... More

The refurnished rooms at the Litchfield Inn are warm, clean, and wonderful. The happy hour food is very good and a reasonable price. I ate dinner at the bar the both nights that I stayed. I will stay there again when I am back in the area. Thanks to the staff and service people.
