Plusses. Love antiques and old home charm. Comfortable bed with nice linens and pillows. Decent breakfast. Wooded secluded setting. Our room was comfortable and relaxing when we were left to our own devices. Minuses. Booked this b n b to surprise my boyfriend with a romantic getaway and felt imposed upon. We drove a long way and, bags still in... More

My daughter and I stayed for six weeks this summer. I highly recommend the Tucker Hill Inn. Not only were the rooms great but the inn keepers were extremly helpful! I would definately stay there again. More

These kind folks put us up at the last minute when another local B and B bailed because of Hurricane Irene. They were gracious and solicitous as we rode out the hurricane together. More

What a wonderful place to stay. We went to visit family for a weekend and found this bed and breakfast very warm and comfortable. The hostess went out of her way to make us feel at home. A hot breakfast is made fresh daily. The rooms are all decorated in a lovely decor of old world charm. We definitely will... More

Our stay at the Tucker Hill Inn was slightly better than Janet Leigh's stay at the Bates Motel. Granted, we chose the area and the place because of its relative equidistance between NYC and Boston, and NOT because of its charm. The location of the inn, in the woods not far from beautiful Lake Quassy, was relatively OK -- given... More

Our experience at the Tucker Hill Inn was comically bad. While the Inn itself is old, creaky and garish---think mismatched wallpapers, sagging beds, and stuffed bunnies hidden in corners--the worst part was the abrasive and unprofessional innkeeper. She hovers over her guests and wears them down with inane (and insulting!) chitchat and then requests payment from you before you even... More

I've stayed at this inn multiple times over the last ten years, and I have to say that I don't understand the previous reveiws. The host and hostess are gracious and friendly, the rooms are immaculate and quaint, and you cannot ask for better scenery. As for the lack of elevator (a previous poster complained about the staircase), this is... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in May, because it was a convenient location for the weekend. House looks great from outside, but inside is very dark and musty, and our room was very "creaky" for lack of a better word. Every footstep was heard, which was embarrassing, as we came home late both both evenings and had to worry about... More

Stayed at this inn for 2 nights and would not go back again. Half opened bottles of toiletries is not my idea of cleanliness. Air conditioner was old and noisy. Breakfast was OK. More

We had activities planned in Litchfield, but could not find a B&B there which had everything we were looking for. So I branched out my search and found this inn about a half hour south in Middlebury. Everything was nice enough as it was clean, roomy and had a decent breakfast. The hostess was very sociable, but the host was... More
