We were expecting the same level of excellence we have had at Twin Farms, The Point or Blackberry Farm. Winvian puts itself out there as such a property. It is not. The cottage we stayed in was dirty. And the staff was a nightmare, they could not even print out our welcome papers when we arrived. And it took over... More

There's no doubt that the setting and grounds are gorgeous. We stayed in Library - it was a cool night so we used the magnificent fireplace. It is so comfy and cozy. Fabulous shower. No question the cabins are fun - we have also stayed at Pitcher Inn a couple of times (same ownership) and Winvian is Pitcher on triple... More

It is a wonderful place for a getaway. There are 20 Individual cottages with each cottage having a theme. The restaurant dinners were very delicious. The Spa has many amenities and a great place to unwind. The Staff is very helpful and attentive.

We stayed in the Secret Society cottage. I thought it was really well done, though it is among the smallest (and least expensive) of the cottages. The double-height living area (small but comfortable for 2) gets light from doors leading to the back porch, from the tiny clearstory windows, and, of course, from the peaked glass ceiling that is the... what a unique experience the cottages are very special and all so unique. the farm to table food delicious and we definitely left heavier than when we arrived. The service was somewhat lacking for us and the cleaning staff barged in without knocking asking for a snack in the afternoon seemed to be a major problem and that was all... More

My wife and I stayed during fall peak foliage time for our 'babymoon' (time period before a new baby). We had high expectations because of what we've read (and the price) but were still blown away. We stayed in the log cabin, which was quiet, clean, luxurious, and so incredibly relaxing. All of the cabins, with very few exceptions, seemed... More

The food was unbelievable, the service was impeccable. Our accommodations were nicely maintained and so unique. We stayed in the Library Cottage. Room service was perfect, as was the spa. I recommend the all inclusive package as well. We loved the privacy of our own cottage and loved the bikes too. Amazing, amazing trip and we'll most certainly be back.

We walked out the front door of The Beaver Cottage at Winvian, tired and dissappointed. I would like to say that the staff was very friendly and the gorunds are very pretty. Our cottage itself was very beautifully designed and decorated. Unfortuantely our first afternoon inside we discovered a large mouse scamper through the bathroom into the bedroom. Staff was... More

We liked almost everything about Winvian, as the other reviewers have attested to. Inexplicably, however, it does not have a swimming pool - huge drawback in the summer months. Versus the Mayflower, it is more stylish and fun, but the Mayflower edges it out by having wonderful indoor and outdoor pools, and a far superior spa environment. Winvian, how about... More
