We were in New Haven for one night for a friend's birthday party and needed a place to stay. This was the cheapest, closest option. The innkeeper was very nice and cooked us a tasty breakfast in the morning. The room was pretty and comfortable and the detached private bathroom was quite nice (and getting to and from it was... Wreaths, berries, bows and the warmth and charm of New England welcomed us to the McCann's home. It was our first time here, not , our last. Our purpose was to travel into NYC on the metro north for a day trip. The exorbitant prices of NYC hotels encouraged this alternative plan. It worked perfectly. Train travel from Union Station... Four of us stayed at Touch of Ireland for two nights. The location is quite convenient for downtown New Haven, so if you are not afraid of walking or taking the bus, there is no need to move the car (a bonus as the driveway is a bit of a challenge). Jeannine was a wonderful host: The breakfasts were delicious... More

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast, and it was just delightful. The rooms were very charming and comfortable. And at night, with the windows open, we could hear a chorus of crickets all night long. Loved it! Breakfast, which consisted of apple waffles and cinnamon bread, was delicious. To me... More

We arrived the day before Hurricane Irene was supposed to hit and had to cut our stay short. Jeanine was very friendly and accomodating. The location is very good for visiting Yale and the house is cozy and comfortable. More

We stayed at this charming Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights in June this year during a motoring holiday of Connecticut and neighboring states. Our upstairs room was fresh and airy, charmingly furnished and had comfortable beds. A bar refrigerator for guests in the sitting room held a supply of water and soft drinks. Jeannine, the innkeeper, was a most... More

Our recent visit to Touch of Ireland Guest House with our family was superb. We were visiting from Florida for a very special 90th birthday celebration. We stayed in the Armagh and Dubliner suite and enjoyed how private it was for our family slumber party. The bed sheets were very soft, and the beds so comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing... We stayed 2 nights in the Cork Room and found the room to be very accommodating to this traveler's needs. Bed is comfortable with very soft sheets, room has a window air conditioner, and the bathroom is private. BTW, awesome water pressure in the shower! No bathtub in this set up. Shelving and other cabinetry in the bathroom afford adequate... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at A Touch of Ireland. The hosts are warm and welcoming as is the decor. The Cork room that I stayed in was so cozy and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a culinary delight. Jeannine and Michael could not have been more pleasant. If you are planning a trip to the New Haven area... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The place was beautiful and feels much more welcoming than a hotel room. If you are going to New Haven for a few days I would recommend this place. Its reasonably close to Yale. I walked from there to campus, but it does take around half an hour. More
