I stayed at the Homestead Inn for 3 nights on a recent business trip. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. My room was in the main house, on the 2nd floor. The room was spacious, with a Queen & Twin bed, a stuffed chair, a fairly large table, a small desk and a small flat-screen tv w/DVD player. The... More

I arrived on a September afternoon for a concert nearby. Even the grounds were welcoming! Beautifully landscaped, lots of fall flowers. The innkeeper, Bill, got me directions to the concert, which were perfect, and showed me to a clean, comfortable room--even though I was the last one to check in that day. On TripAdvisor I had checked out nearby hotels... More

My wife and I and one other couple stayed here, we stayed in the house and the other couple stayed in carriage house. We both had nice rooms and got a good nights sleep. The owners were very pleasent and cooked us a nice breakfast. The showers were a little small but the beds were comfortable. Jon Morse

The Homestead Inn served us well enough, but be prepared that the place is old and it shows. It is a bit run down, and some of the old-fashioned touches are less than charming. That said, we got two good nights of sleep in a quiet location, and there was A/C and wifi. Breakfast is adequate, but not memorable, and... More

The Homestead Inn provided the three most important things for me when I'm travelling - a comfy bed, lovely hot water and a good cup of hot tea! But over and above that, the Greenmans bent over backwards to help us in organising the fine details of our stay, from easy internet access to car hire advice and transport, to... More

Please do not hesitate in considering this charming Inn for a stay in New Milford. It is warm, welcoming & cozy. My very first stay at Homestead was by sheer chance. After making a very detailed reservation at another establishment in town and arriving to find they had no record of my reservation and were full, my husband I were... More

Tiny, tiny bathroom, No AC, quaint New England decor rooms, excellent location within walking distance of the green. Wifi, plenty of pillows. Room noisy from street traffic. Considering availability of rooms in this area, it is good for overnight. The real bad for Room 3 is the brightest porch light I have ever seen right outside our window and no curtain,... More

I have to disagree with several untrue statements in this review. To begin with, there is no paint peeling from the walls of the room they stayed in, there is only wall paper. Our bathrooms in some rooms are small. This reviewer stayed with us on Saturday and Sunday nights. We were full Friday night, almost full on Saturday night... More

The Homestead Inn is a home away from home. Bill, and his wife Sherry, provide accommodations to make your stay in quaint, old-town New Milford, CT as effortless and comfortable as possible. The Homestead Inn is a charming and affordable bed and breakfast, only a hop, skip and a jump from the center of town. The main house and surrounding... More
