We were there in May for two nights, staying in the Carriage House. Very cozy, clean and quiet. The field behind is excellent for bird watching. Michael is a great innkeeper, host and chef. Do believe everything you read about his breakfasts! We will be back! Sandy

My boyfriend and I did a little getaway for his birthday, and he found this B&B online. We researched on TripAdvisor, narrowed our search down, and choose this one because it was a great value. We were far from disappointed. The location is perfect-- just a few miles from all the fun that Mystic has to offer, including the Aquarium,... More

This is an exceptional B&B! There are two buildings. The 1700s home is delightfully cozy. The rooms are themed around great literature and have fireplaces and beatiful quilts. The dining area is warm and the breakfast was fantastic. Michael is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and it shows. The newer building has larger rooms with gas fireplaces.... More

An alternative to your roadside hotels, this literary themed B&B is an excellent choice. The rooms are tastefully decorated in period furniture. Our bed was very comfortable. Mike Cardillo is an efficient and effective host, he suggested a wonderful restaurant and made the reservation for us there. The breakfast was a very tasty cinnamon french toast with fruit, beautifully presented.... More

My husband and I stayed here in the fall on our wedding night and the following night. We're actually from the area, but this was the perfect place to just relax and enjoy some quiet time together. We stayed in a room in the Carriage House, which is only a very short walk to the main house. Our room was... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here and couldn't have been happier with it. It's a lovely, comfortable Inn with many amenities and open access to the kitchen with the various goodies provided there. Michael is an outstanding, conscientious innkeeper and his breakfasts were delicious. Old Mystic is actually about 3 miles from Mystic which means that you can't... More

My husband and I had only booked for 1 night -- what a mistake! What a lovely B&B and a terrific host. Our room -- the Melville was spacious and quiet. The whole house is a treat for the eye.And the grounds immaculate. After the hustle and bustle of Boston, this was a wonderful quiet retreat. Breakfast was lovely --... More
