only stayed 2 nights as planned - room was spacious and well equipped but definitely in need of updating. But it all worked and clean. Only downside was the previous occupant(s) who must have been heavy smokers due to the smell, Quiet area a couple of minutes from Kings Bay. We stayed at the manatee for one month. The staff were always friendly and helpful. John was always available when we had a question. The room we stayed at was very nice. Bathroom needed a face lift. This is an older rustic extended stay motel right in the heart of Crystal River that is really centrally located for anyone.....particularly for subcontractors for the Progress Energy power plant.
