Tom greeted us with a very warm welcome. We stayed two nights and ate on one. Good "pub" food and a clean room. We booked the last available room for our stay, which was very small - though the website fairly described it as such. Ideally situated for visiting all the popular areas and farther afield. Good walking routes on... More

We were on a two day B& B + first night dinner included. I am first to admit that the price was very good but our room was extremely small and the bed very uncomfortable, and there was a strange smell on the stairs and in our loo ( which only had one working light). However it was exceptionally clean.... More

Very nice cosy country pub (although on a main road) with good offering of home made style food. Very good real ale as well, all in all a very pleasant place to relax in. Outside seating area to the rear with a view of the Pike.

Booked this getaway for our wedding anniversary. Arrived to a very warm welcome by Stella and Tom. We are keen walkers and they obliged by letting us leave our cases whilst we went on our first walk of the weekend to New Mills. Arrived back, tired, thirsty and hungry. Had a great pint (or 2!) of Real Ale, tabled booked... More

We visited the Lantern Pike while on holiday in Derbyshire this week. The food is simple but tasty and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. An additional bonus was that a group of locals had gathered that evening to play some country music so we were treated to some enjoyable free entertainment !

We decided to go for lunch to check the place out prior to booking a short stay so can not comment on anything other than food and service. As it was a FRIDAY lunch time around 1 pm. we were surprised there was just us and one other couple ! So, service : no complaint, barmaid/waitress friendly and efficient. Nice... More

We spent three very comfortable nights here over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the local ales! Tom and Stella were really friendly. Tom knows the area well and will advise you on a walk to suit your ability. Dinner was excellent, lots of choice, great ingredients and cooked beautifully, the same can... More

Having never visited the Peak District before I would definitely recommend The Lantern Pike Inn for lodgings.A very pleasant stay in an ideal location. Stella & Tom are great hosts and very knowledgeable of the area and walks. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Home cooked food was too a good standard. I would definitely recommend.

Not sure what else to say, Tom and Stella are wonderful and made us so welcome. Views are incredible, food is fantastic and our room was great. We were fortunate to be staying when when of the folk evenings was taking place and this was fabulous. The location of the inn is ideal with walks literally on the doorstep but... More
