Very nice cosy country pub (although on a main road) with good offering of home made style food. Very good real ale as well, all in all a very pleasant place to relax in. Outside seating area to the rear with a view of the Pike.

We visited the Lantern Pike while on holiday in Derbyshire this week. The food is simple but tasty and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. An additional bonus was that a group of locals had gathered that evening to play some country music so we were treated to some enjoyable free entertainment !

We decided to go for lunch to check the place out prior to booking a short stay so can not comment on anything other than food and service. Having never visited the Peak District before I would definitely recommend The Lantern Pike Inn for lodgings.A very pleasant stay in an ideal location. Stella & Tom are great hosts and very knowledgeable of the area and walks. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Home cooked food was too a good standard. I would definitely recommend.
