Just returned from a two night stay at the property. Enjoyed very much. Stayed in the Captains Quarters and it was lovely and very roomy. Loved the deck over looking the River . Grounds and pool area very well kept. Property staff were very friendly and helpful. Will return for another visit soon. Great place to Relax. More

Very well maintained property on the water, Clean, the office staff is very unfriendly. There was a guy who keeps the grounds up, Ivan and his son, that was very friendly, helpful, they were up beat and off set the unfriendly staff of others. Very well maintained property on the St. Johns River. We have rented cottages as well as one of the larger units. I would not try to sleep more than three to a cottage. The sofa sleeper will only sleep one, and is not very comfortable for an adult, but would be good for a child. Bathrooms are small but functional.... More

Great place for long weekend getaway. Very clean and pleasant resort. Very helpfull and pleasant staff. Kitchens are equiped with everything you clould possibly need. Don't miss out on renting a poonton boat and check out all the widlife on the waters. Highly recommended. More

The resort is spotless and well maintained.......The staff is friendly.........the boat rentals are reasonable and well maintained. The only dis-satisfaction was the comfort of the bed. They seem to be worn out. Also, we are used to a kingsize bed, but only queensize are available. The group of friends that were in different rooms, felt the same about the beds.... More

The marina was very easy to find for one thing. It was also very clean, Staff was very friendly. Cabin was really nice and provided utensils, dishes, glasses, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, cookware and plastic containers. Also, provided utensils for grilling. we hired boat for the day, it was best day we have had in florida in 5 yrs, only heard about it last year, as we come from uk ,so glad we did, what a relaxing and interesting day, seeing wildlife so close up and not behind glass, cant wait to visit again this year, highly recommend. gavin and marie More

I stayed at Hontoon Landing for one week. The physical facility was adequate in every respect, and I liked the unpretentious, laid-back feel of the place. We did not stay at the resort but we did rent a boat from here to tour the river. Everyone in our group thought that this was a great way to spend the day. We saw lots of gators and manatee . We stopped at Blue springs and saw even more manatee there. You can travel on your own timetable... More
