The Calypso is a stunning oasis...you might miss...if you weren't looking for it. Nestled in a residential area...in the relatively safe, less hectic part of Ft. Lauderdale...it has everything you need. Nice rooms with kitchens. BBQ grills. Beautiful flowers and plants. A great, much needed swimming pool for those sweltering Florida days. Calypso is a little heaven in Fort Lauderdale. The rooms are all unique and beautifully decorated. The owner is a friendly lady and you can see she loves her customers. There were a lot of older folks renting for a couple months, and she spent time chatting with them, making sure everyone was happy... Also a few students and single... More

Calypso is away from the hustle and bustle of Ft Lauderdale Beach, but still a very close drive up A1A. You can walk to beach and find a somewhat private patch to yourself.
