As a Diamond member with Hilton, I have stayed at many Doubletree hotels. While the service and staff were good at the Bahia Mar, the physical facility was not up to expectations. The hotel is very nice off first impression, bigger than what I expected. When you first arrive they give you warm cookies and are very good with customer service. The rooms are clean ans the beds are comfortable the only thing I didnt like was there were no draws. Not every room has a balcony so keep that in mind.... More

The location of this hotel relative to the beach is very good. It is connected by a raised walkway/bridge to the beach. Valet and self parking are expensive (to be expected) but convenient. We stayed here one night pre-cruise Easter weekend. There are some really great things about the location. It is across the street from the beach, has a deli on location and you don't need a car to walk to good shopping and places to eat. The room is very average but did have a fridge.
