I spent this past weekend in Gainesville on a business trip. Tired of endless chain hotels, I stayed at the Camellia Rose Inn. Let me tell you that it doesn't get any better than this. The inn is located on a quaint street in the historic section of Gainesville. It is only a 3 block walk to the downtown area... More

I stayed here twice this spring for over a week both times. I combined pleasure with work. I stayed at both Spats and an apartment (Hodges?). The Inn is very quiet and peaceful. Pat is a great cook (over the top brownies and breakfast). The Inn is a 5-10 min walk to downtown and too many restaurants as well as... More

My wife had an early medical appointment at Shands in Gainesville so we decided to stay in town the night before since we live in Jacksonville. I found the Camellia Rose Inn here on Yelp and decided to stay here based on the two previous reviews and the price. What a great decision it turned out to be, this place... More

We love staying at The Camellia Rose Inn. We have stayed with them for the past 5 years since they opened their doors. Every stay is the same, great people, good food, great rooms/bathrooms. We use to stay at chain hotels in Gainesville and hated it...not anymore. We love The Camellia Rose Inn and you will too. More

This was our first time at a B&B and we absolutely loved it. Pat is very nice and a great cook! The area is very quite and peaceful and I highly recommend one of the rooms with the private second floor porch. We look forward to our next trip. More

We recently spent a wonderful weekend at the Camellia Rose Inn. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out and Pat and Tom could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Our room, bathroom and private balcony were very spacious and clean and the location is just a short walk to the best restaurants and bars in Gainesville. Pat's homemade... More

We had to bring our Yorkies to UF Small Animals Hospital for an evaluation and eventual tracheal stint for one of them; a very stressful week that was made so much better by Pat's hospitality and the comfortable "pet's cottage" we stayed in at Camellia Rose Inn. More

The Camellia Rose Inn is a lovely and peaceful place. We had 2 rooms, and each declared the beds magical - hand-pressed sheets! Quiet and comfy. Porches and rockers. Pat & Tom (the innkeepers) are so nice. The care they take in everything really does show. I plan to go back again soon to recover from the modern world. I... More
