We called in to the bar on the way back from a day out and ordered Sunday lunch. The lady who is in charge was rather unpleasant. I went to sit on a table for 4 but was moved and crammed into a table for 2 even though we were a party of 3, bizarre as all other big tables only... More

Just called in for a lunch on way home, as not been for some time. My wife had Northumbrian sausage and I had Steak and Ale pie, both very good, best pie that I have had for some time, really full of tender meat. A very pleasant lunch.

Arrived here as it tried to snow ! Stayed in the annexe. We had a nice room which had good central heating. Ate in the hotel both evenings and were impressed with the choice and quality of food. Had a great first full day visiting the Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle which were both really interesting. After dinner, the the evening... More

My parter and I were gifted a KGB 2night stay at Masons Arms and stayed in room 18 in the Forge Annexe. We paid extra £5 a night for a double bed room. The mattress was very uncomfortable and lumpy which was annoying after paying extra. There was also a rip in the bed sheet, stains on the inside of... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Masons Arms previously but not in recent times. We were impressed then and again on this visit. We had the good fortune to be allocated room 10 which we had used on previous occasions. It is nicely furnished with a good hospitality tray, a nice bathroom and a small second bedroom with... More

Spent 6 nights at the Masons Arms with a room in the old forge block, although the rooms where not large the where very clean and compact, Two night we dined here and four nights out the evening meal is varied reasonably priced and value for money. Breakfast is 8am to 9am which we felt was a tight window could perhaps... More

We had two nights and stayed in one of the first floor rooms with sitting area, very comfortable and warm which is a plus when taking your chance with the north east weather. The family team make sure that all is clean, well looked after and the food was of good quality. This is a great location for exploring the... More

Stayed for two nights in May. We had an upgraded room which was excellent value consisting of a separate lounge and large bedroom. Everything was clean comfortable and in good condition. The large comfortable bed had a top sheet as well as a duvet so unlike most hotels I did not have to remove the duvet from it's cover to... More

Recently spent a couple of nights here and found it excellent value. The room was beautifully clean and well furnished with high quality bed linen. The bathroom was spotless and the shower really strong. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. There was a well thought out menu and the food was delicious, well presented and great value.... More

My wife and I have just had 2 days stay here, and we cannot praise the hotel enough, the meals were outstanding, Bob, Alison and family could not do enough to please the customers, and we appreciated the advice they gave us when asking them for information. This place is well worth a place to stay.
