This hotel is sufficient for an overnight stop but not much more. It has been remodeled recently and the lobby is lovely but the rooms still retain the old fashioned "motel" look. Our bathmat had stains but otherwise the room was clean. There are other hotels in the area, we would try a different one next time.

I would not recommend staying here. The customer service here is okay, but the owner is rude. My bathroom was not cleaned and did not smell like it had been cleaned. The water smells gross. My friends and I stopped here for a night, on our way to up the coast. The room was clean, people were very nice. Obviously, it's not a swanky resort where you want to vacation (it's by the highway), but it's a very decent place to spend a night or couple. Very much recommend it. I'd stay there again.

On this trip down the east coast we stopped at the service rest stop near exit 42. There was a coupon for the howard Johnson hotel off of exit 36a so we stopped. Rooms were very clean and the housekeeping and maintenance guy were very nice. We definately recommend trying this hotel.
