If you are ever in Northern Georgia and need a place to stay, consider Red Top Mountain Parks rental cabins. Our stay was amazing in the forest setting of the park. Overlooking the Red Top Mountain Marina our cabin was an incredible and rejuvenating place to stay during our visit to Northern Georgia and Atlanta. The cabin was beautiful with... More

The park is just lovely. We rented a pontoon boat, and had a blast! The trails are great, saw lots of wildlife. The restaurant was very nice, waitresses friendly and efficient. Good value for the $$. The "Lodge" however, is more a 1950's motel. Smelled of urine, bathroom floor filthy (had to clean it with towels because housekeeping never did),... More

This is only about the restaurant at the lodge. We did not stay at the hotel or the campsites. My wife treated me to dinner at the Red Top Mountain Lodge Restaurant for my birthday this weekend. Having read some of the reviews posted here, I was a little concerned. But I have to tell you, it was a great... More

Let me first say that Red Top Mountain State Park is a beautiful place. The lake, trails, forest - gorgeous. I didn't see the campground, beach, or cabins so I can't comment. But I did stay in a Lodge room and though I expected some "rustic" qualities because it is a state park in the woods, after all, I did... More

The Park was awful ,the front desk people were very rude they were more into myspace then telling me were the campsites were, you can tell they dont do much anyway, the food wasnt so great not less you like finding plastic in it. The only thing that was good was the housekeeping girls a big plus to them because obviously... More

We were looking for a campground with a great view & lots of flexibility. Our campsite was directly on the water with easy access to restrooms. The restrooms were cleaned at least once a day & were never busy even though the campground was pretty full this weekend. We were never bothered by the rangers or other guests (except for... More

We stayed in the cabins the week of Christmas 06. We brought our dog along because they have recently designated 2 cabins in the park dog-friendly. The cabins are very comfortable and cozy - well stocked and as clean as you would expect them to be. The park is very beautiful and we did some hiking - although it was... More

We went to Red Top Mountain State Park for the 4th of July weekend for boating and camping. We rented a boat along with an innertube and water skis for a half day. We had an absolute blast. The lake was busy but it was still so big that there was room for everyone to have a great time. The... More
