We were looking for a getaway to just relax and chill. This bed and breakfast was the perfect place. There are 4 rooms, two have private baths and the other two share a hall bath. The innkeepers are lovely people! The breakfast was wonderful with great coffee, breakfast frittata, fruit mix, grits, biscuits, and juice with homemade jam and apple butter. The home is lovely and nestled under big trees with a huge front porch to sit on, or a screened back porch or poolside chairs to rest in. There are plenty of good restaurants in town, Cave Spring to get natural spring water and a great coffee shop. We highly recommend this place and hope to go back this fall!

My husband and I visited for a short getaway. The home is lovely and very well kept. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was filling and the presentation was very nice. Two things could make it just a little better. The bed was a full size. If you are used to a larger bed it might affect your sleep. It also would have been nice to have something out to drink in the evenings like hot tea or coffee. Despite those two things, it was a nice, peaceful visit that we enjoyed.

I would highly recommend the Tumlin House B & B. House is full of antiques and lovely decor. Bed in Ruby's Room was most comfortable and A/C could be set at whatever temp desired in room which meant it was comfortable and cool. A good breakfast was provided. Owners husband & wife live on the premises on main floor. Four bedrooms to choose from upstairs. Inviting in ground swimming pool in backyard in addition to huge wrap around porch for morning coffee and newspaper which is provided. Nice little town of Cave Spring offers good antique shopping and dining plus beautiful park with springfed pool. Only negative: Cold beverage tray with ice bucket along with snack or cookies was not put out upon arrival nor was ice water or a cold beverage offered which I would have appreciated after traveling. Tap water is good but again; no ice. In addition, coffee was only available with breakfast. Hence a "very good" rating, not "excellent" which I would have given if it were not for that one negative. Would recommend otherwise. Nice couple, lovely B & B!…

We met another couple for a reunion get away! My husband met them in college over 45 year ago and this was the first time I met them. We had a beautiful porch to sit on and rocking chairs to get comfy in while we looked at family photos and videos and talked about our families endlessly. For breakfast, we sat in the enclosed porch and enjoyed our breakfast and coffee and chatted with Nancy and her hubby. Nice couple and beautiful property! Wonderful hospitality! We stayed in grandma Ruby's room which was awesome!

Beautiful old house. JC and Nancy made sure we were comfortable. The pool was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the shady backyard. Breakfast was exactly what we needed for our long bicycle ride home. Note: I recommend one of the rooms with a private bath. The bathroom that is shared by two rooms is actually out in the hall.

Wanted a quiet location to rest at night since our weekend stay was packed with meetings and events in a nearby town. This was a perfect place with a beautiful drive to and from events to decompress. The host was extremely gracious and a marvelous cook. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, comfy bed and a great window A/C unit that reminded me of my grandparents home. Look forward to staying there again!

My sister and I spent two nights at this wonderful inn. The host is completely charming, yet not obstrusive, and Tumlin House is lovely. There is no comparison in the area for lodging - with a relaxing personal touch. We felt welcome, and the breakfast was delicious. Will always remember our stay - and will make a point to return. Hands down beats other lodging in this area.

We recently needed to stay in Cave Springs for a High School Reunion and found this great little Bed & Breakfast! The home is beautiful, the bedroom was very comfortable and had a private bath. The Food was delicious and the Owners were wonderful! It's a great place to escape a busy life and just relax at the pool or in the rooms!

The B&B itself is pretty nice, well-decorated, with lots of magazines and movies for entertainment. The food is good too, and the owners are nice. There is not much privacy, the bed was so uncomfortable I barely slept...and Cave Spring is not that great of a town. I would recommend staying in Rome and driving over for the day. Also the cats seemed to have mange, which made me sad.

Husband and I enjoyed a relaxing getaway in Ruby's room at the Tumlin House. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. This is a wonderful place for a quiet getaway; the town's population is only about 900, meaning no Wal-Mart or fast food places. Breakfasts were fantastic. In addition to coffee and juice on both days, the first morning we were served a fruit cup, ham and egg frittata, and hash browns. The second morning we had broiled pink grapefruit, sliced ham, and maple pecan banana French toast. The porch is HUGE; I think I remember reading somewhere that it's around 1400 square feet. There were a lot of outside renovations going on, so aesthetically the outside wasn't very attractive, but it's going to be magnificent when finished! I'm a cat lover and the owners have three of the friendliest cats (Sugar, Shadow, and Puff) that would jump right in my lap when I sat in the porch swing. There were only two things I didn't like. 1) The downstairs has central air which was always between 71-73 degrees, but I don't think there are any vents at all upstairs where all of the bedrooms are, so our room got a little warm for our tastes. 2) When we return we plan on staying in Uncle Jack's room because it has a bathtub and shower. Ruby's room only has a shower, which I hadn't planned on being a problem, but the shower in Ruby's room is the smallest I've ever seen, I'm guessing about 2 1/2 feet square. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommed The Tumlin House.…
