Our visit to the Old Clayton Inn was a pleasure. The staff is professional, efficient, and friendly. Their information about interesting places to visit in Clayton and surrounding area was helpful. The Inn is well-maintained. The lobby is welcoming with plush chairs, sofa, and a lovely fireplace. The upstairs porch has rocking chairs and a wonderful mountain view. A patio... More

Stayed here while visiting family over Christmas holidays! Although old, it had a very warm and welcome feel to it. The rest/lounge is no longer open, but plenty of places to eat within a 2-3 minute drive. This has more of a bed and breakfast feel than a "hotel" or "inn". More

We LOVE the Old Clayton Inn for romantic weekend getaways! The hotel and restaurant staff are wonderful and accommodating. The rooms are charming and unique. The restaurant serves upscale food at decent rates. (And the French bartender, Dominique, is superbe!) More

The hotel is remodeled but still an old hotel. We stayed in a very large room on the first floor that had a juczzi tub. The breakfast was next to nothing, coffee and some packaged rolls (we were spoiled by Best Western). the cost of the room at over $90 did not match the quality of the hotel or room.... More

My husband and I booked the Old Clayton Inn for a weekend of "leaf peeping" in the north Ga mountains. We enjoyed our stay, the front porch balcony was one of our favorite places. Nice view of the mountains. Our room reminded me of Grama's bedroom, warm and cozy, clean and comfortable. Could've used a small table though, the tv... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Old Clayton Inn. My Brother in Law and I were in town for a Boy Scout weekend and since we are "Senior Citizens" we elected to find a quiet place for our two night stay. The staff made accomidations for our very late arrival Friday night and are very friendly.... More

I came to Clayton for a couple of days of trout fishing in the North Georgia mountains. I was alone, and required only a clean place to sleep. A Google search brought up the Old Clayton Inn. The Website made it look decent enough, so I booked two nights. I pulled up to the Old Clayton Inn at about 4:30... More

When I called to make a reservation, I made it very clear that I was going to be on business and asked about wireless internet. I was told that there is free wireless internet. Upon my arrival my check-in was ok. I received my key, which was an actual key from the 1980s or earlier. As I walked by the... More
