I've been to Helen for this VW/Audi event and stayed other places "closer to the action". This time around my SO joined me, so having a place within walking distance of the restaurants and events without having to deal with the late night shenanigans was more a priority. We really enjoyed our stay, but will ask for a room on the lower level next time. Getting too old to walk up the steps. (LOL) The owners are very nice and friendly. They are working to get the place updated with microwaves and other items for comfort. It's close enough to walk to town. Would stay again.

Stayed one night, hot tub in the room was great seeing as it rained non stop. Chad was very friendly and helpful. Even bumped into him at breakfast the next morning and he paid for a part of our meal! That is customer service above and beyond the customary. The only down side was the weird picture over the bed.

We stayed in the windmill suite. Loved everything about this place! The owners were great. The motel was clean and well stocked. Great location! I would highly recommend you spring for the suite though. We upgraded after seeing the standard room.

We stayed in the windmill suite. It was awesome. We had a big room, fireplace, hot tub, good location, the owners are wonderful! There is lots of stuff to do within walking distance. Splurge for the suite...totally worth it. We will be back!

We loved our stay at the Heidi Motel. The Heidi Motel was clean, reasonable and right in the middle of the action for charming Alpine Helen. What could be better?! The proprietors were friendly and helpful.
