Stay here one night of your stay just for the experience and uniqueness. It is a nice place and has a lot of uniqueness. You can sit on the varranda and relax or sit in the lobby area and read the paper. It has a great atmosphere. The food at this place is great. Of course you do not need... More

My husband and I live in Charleston, SC... for our honeymoon, we wanted something special and out of town. Jekyll Island was perfect. Driving distance. The hotel takes you back to a time of service, grand hotel feel and a relaxing time. We so much loved the people, the walks, the king suite, the spa, and the special touches that... More

I dined at the Jeklyy Island club twice. Once for lunch and again for tea.. The high tea was nothing short of expensively terrible. Serve yourself, tea urn that dripped hot water slowly for long awaited lukewarm hot water. The explanation gor this was that the water was hard and plugged up the spout...what??? The service was promised but sparce... More

We first booked an annex suite though Travelzoo, then we got notice of a 48 hour stay and "upgraded" to a deluxe king suite. We'd travelled down from a superb private rental apartment in Savannah (208 River St), so maybe we'd been spoiled a bit. First - the bad bit: The king suite just below the presidential suite in the... More

I have stayed here many times on business but this is my first review of this hotel. This is NOT even close to any sort of chain hotel. It is one of a kind and you can read more about the "historic" parts from other reveiws. My wife and I stayed in the main building. Double bed...and the room was... More

Starting in the late 19th Century, a group of rich people bought Jekyll Island off Brunswick, GA as a resort, hunting preserve, and general hang-out. Some members built large "cottages" and others stayed in the Club House. After the Club became defunct, the State of Georgia took over much of the Island as a park, and the old Club House... More

We stayed at Crane Cottage for a wedding. One - the rooms were very overpriced for the amenities. Two - the grounds are a sight-seeing tourist stop on the island so just imagine staying in a museum and having people wandering around as you are trying to enjoy your vacation. There was no privacy at all when we were staying... More

Be careful; once they get your email address, that's it. They won't honor remove requests. If you contact them with another email address, they'll use that and send you the same email twice. I've tried for years to get them to stop. As far as the room goes, they consider old, cracked, squeaky floorboards, doors and windows "charming." Nice food,... More

We stayed in the Annex part of the hotel which at first concerned me because I thought it wouldn't be as charming as the original club house-I was wrong. The room in the Annex was wonderfully charming, very comfortable and offerred a lot of room. We had wonderful views of the property grounds which were just beautiful. The large oak... More

My husband and I returned to the Jeklyll Island Club from April 19 until April 22. We have visited this place several times, but not for the last 4 years. Our return trip was like coming home! This time we stayed in Cherokee, which is one of the old homes on the property. As always, it was great! The staff... More
