My daughter and I love historic places and when we found out about The Village Inn at Stone Mountain,GA having been a Confederate hospital during the Civil War, we decided that this was the place. The home was built in 1820 and has much history. It had been abandoned for awhile and was in need of a lot of TLC.... More

Stayed one night before catching flight from Atlanta. In a lovely village with stone Mountain park nearby. Kevin, who runs it now is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a good meal with some live music at the German restaurant, also visited friendly pub 'Bev's place' where we could have settled in for the evening. We live in a small... More

We arrived here for my birthday before dinner time, so we put our bags down and left for dinner. I did not think finding a nice restaurant would be that much of a problem. There is absolutely no where to go out to a nice dinner at around this place. We ended up at a German restaurant and the food... More

I agree with the comment "I'm still not sure how I feel about the Village Inn". I was between a 2 and a 3. The house itself was the best part, as it really did feel old and have kind of a 'haunted house' type of feel. Unless you are going to Stone Mountain park, the location is pretty bad.... More

I'm still not sure how I feel about the Village Inn. I stayed there for two nights with my wife and two children. First of all I have to say that the house is great. Extremely rustic and felt warm. The house I definitely enjoyed. The old furniture was surprisingly comfortable. I did enjoy the creeking of the old floors... More

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday for just one night. The innkeeper was very nice and the breakfast was delicious. The homemade cookies and snacks were great to have on hand. We stayed in the Rhett room with a door that opened onto the veranda, a two person Jacuzzi and a gas fireplace. The weather was rainy and cold... More

First, in view of other reviews, let's get the bad stuff out of the way first. The website is way out of date: the prices are wrong, there are no phones in the room and no internet access. Stone mountain village is a bit dead, though picturesque, and the only person in Georgia who isn't charming runs the cafe/chocolate and... More

My wife & I just stayed at the Village Inn for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. WHAT A DISASTER!!! I would not recommend this inn to anyone. This was a very big disappointment for us. The trouble began when checking in last Thursday. When we pulled up, the innkeeper saw us pull up outside & asked what we were doing there.... More

Our 4th visit to the Village Inn which must tell you something. Great B&B with a great innkeeper and a great breakfast....did I say how great this place is. We always meet interesting people around the breakfast table and there is a wonderful view of the Mountain from the front balcony. As an extra bonas, Bev's Bar and the fabulous... More

My wife and I stayed at the Village Inn for our 1st anniversary. It is a beautiful place, full of history. Walking distance from downtown, and Stone Mountain park. The owner was extremely pleasant, and a wonderful cook. We stayed in the "Rhett Room". I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. More
