We decided to stop overnight at Tybee Island to break up the drive from Orlando to NC. Although accommodations were basic, the front desk staff was welcoming, free beach towels were provided upon request, and the hotel offered a complimentary breakfast. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Hotel does need some updating but the place was clean and rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast needs a little help. But it was a great value for being so close to the beach and bars/food places. Once we parked the car we didn't need to get back into it until time to leave.
