We are new to Idaho and this was our first time to be in the mountains. We chose Redfish Lake Lodge because we had heard that it was a great place. And it is. It is a rustic lodge in the forest - better than camping! We were there in late September but the crowds were still present. The food... More

We stayed in a Lake Suite after Labor Day to miss the crowd. So glad we did; it was still pretty busy, but there was plenty of opportunity to get away. We love to hike and don't need much entertainment when in the woods, but it was a great bonus to have the bike rentals, canoe rentals, horseback rides, etc.... More

We had been to Redfish Lake several times but had never stayed in the Lodge or cabins prior to this summer. Several of our family members stayed in the cabins which were filthy. The bathtub was covered in layers of soap scum, the floors appeared to have never been swept or vacuumed, and the dishes were dirty. The sheets and... More

I stayed at Redfish Lake Lodge for a friend's wedding recently and had the most lovely time. All of my meals at the restaurant were yummy. Best fried chicken I've had in a long time and I live in Texas! I stayed in a lodge room. These rooms aren't fancy, and they don't claim to be. They are comfortable and... More

had a wonderful stay at the lodge, the food at the restaurant was amazing and a terrific value. the workers everywhere were friendly and helpful. there isn't much around other than nature, but that's why you'd be in the area and the lodge puts you smack in the middle of it. even if there were more options around Stanley, I... This place is unique and has been here nearly forever. Don't expect the Fairmont or the Ritz Carlton. The place is pure enchantment just as it is. The cabins are definitely more lux than the lodge rooms. If that's what you want get the creekside cabins, the honeymoon cabin or the lake front cabins. Food could be a bit better,... More

We rented two of the resort's cabins for a total of 19 people: friends and family. The cabins are lovely: slate flooring, beautiful showers, log furniture, gorgeous setting. Large dining room table in the one we were in (Lake Side Cabin) plus outside picnic table. The cabin was stocked with everything we could need. The only negatives to the cabin... More

So beautiful, and provision for numerous outdoor activities, but would never go again due to the mostly unfriendly staff, poor service and seedy room. Had been looking forward to this for quite some time, and planned for after Labor Day to avoid the crowds. There were clean linens when we checked in, but the room had not been vacuumed (found... We normally camp inn the Sawtooth area for our frequent adventures... We decided to treat ourselves... we arrived the Tuesday after Labor Day and as expected, the area was still packed. To out surprise however by sundown we had he patio to ourselves and one other couple watching the sunset. Food at the lodge looked mediocre so gave it a... More

We were recommended to stay here by the company who lead our weeklong raft trip. Coming off a peaceful journey on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, we drove onto the lodge property FILLED with hundreds of people there to listen to music from 4-7 PM. They were parked everywhere and every which-way; they were all over the grounds;... More
