On September 23 and 24, my husband and I, along with 40 of our friends, gathered at the High Country Inn in Stanley, Idaho, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. For two days, general manager Melinda Hadzor and her staff catered to our every wish and made this very important date a special one to remember! The staff made us... More

My family and I traveled to Stanley, ID during the middle of summer, and we're looking for a very welcoming, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel to stay in. We came across the High Country Inn which was located in the middle of town, but in a quiet and peaceful area. Since the moment we arrived at the hotel, we've never... More

This was my first visit to Idaho and to the charming small town of Stanley. I selected the High Country Inn for the first night of a 5-night trip and it was a great choice! My room was clean, the bed comfy, and my room opened onto the upstairs interior hallway AND a deck on the back that looked out... More

We came to Stanley looking for a great experience. We stayed two nights. The hotel was very expensive for only a very small standard room. As stated earlier the hallways are very dark. The rooms are very noisy as we could hear all of our neighbors conversations and user of the bathroom. The rooms were very clean and well decorated... More

We stayed here Friday and Saturday night this weekend, and we enjoyed it very much. The room was extreemly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They serve breakfast, but we did not make it either morning. Melinda is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner reservations for 15 on Saturday night. We have eaten at many, many nice restaurants... We stayed here before our trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. The town was very different from our usual experience in the East, it has dirt roads, log cabins and very friendly people. The room (south cabinette) was very clean, a perfect size for us and the bed was very comfortable. There were bunk beds in a... More

Melinda made us feel right at home and very comfortable. Was a great place to stay to base many activities out of in town. Stanley is much smaller than we thought it would be and very quiet. The lodge is exceptionally clean and kept up, we thought it was newly built. We will return and enjoy one of the Monday... More

Very personable staff, clean facility. Breakfast hours are short (8-10 a.m.) and they sometimes are slow to restock the food. Very dim lighting in the hallways. No individual climate adjustment in the rooms, although there are ceiling fans and the windows open. Nice lounge areas inside and out. It appears most of the rooms can connect (3-4 in a row--great...
