We have stayed at this hotel MANY times. We are snowmobilers and love the Stanley area. Mountain Village is about the only option. The rooms are outdated and in need of repairs, but we have never experienced an unfriendly staff member or missed anything from our room. We usually request one of the 2 bedroom suites that have microwave/fridge etc.... More

The rooms are old and outdated. The TV's are old, big and bulky. The bathrooms are very outdated with holes in the floor and leaky faucets and the staff is not very friendly. The bar next door has a very comfortable atmosphere and the restaurant has very good food. On our last visit to the Sawtooth's, our experiance at the... More

We took a trip from Oregon to Stanley, ID/Sawtooth Mts... and stayed 3 days and 2 nights at the Mountain Village Resort. Our room was a mountain/rustic decor, clean, and quiet, with a beautiful view of the Sawtooth Mountains, and parking right outside our door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is centrally located at a high elevation,... More

I don't know if it was because we had a dog and they put us in their worst room, but if you stay at Mountain Village Resort, request not to stay in room 112. I don't know if management is aware of it, but room 112 has a hole in the bathroom floor with water leaking out, and the bathtub... More

I have stayed here for the last 2 consecutive years and will not hesitate to rebook again next year. Even though the Hotel sits on the main highway the rooms are set back far enough to cancel out traffic noise. If you have an upstairs room you will enjoy a beautiful view over the Sawtooth Mountains and Stanley River. A... More

We stayed here for one night the first weekend in July before a camping trip. The rooms were clean, but outdated. It appears the property is for sale, which means they won't be upgrading anything until it sells. Overall we were pleased and we enjoyed walking down to the hot springs for a quick soak. It was not fancy, but... More

So I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by a friendly and efficient front desk staff and spacious clean room. All staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked that there was small refrigertor in the room. WE loved the hot springs... More

We stayed at this budget-styled hotel coming and going from a 6-day river trip down the exquisite Middle Fork of the Salmon River with ECHO, the Premier river rafting company. The rate quoted for the room was $85 plus tax (total $93.93.) When we checked out each time we received a receipt for $93.93. HOWEVER, unbeknownst to us, $50 extra... More

The room was large and clean. We had a room with a kitchenette. They have a grocery store across the street which was very convenient. We didn't try the restaurant. The best part was the private HOT SPRING. Book with the front desk (for free) an hour at the private spring. Walk down the trail to the little shed that... More

Unbeknownst to us, my wife and I visited Stanley during the mid-summer crafts festival. All accommodations in this tiny mountain crossroads town were booked solid except for the Mountain Village Resort. I looked at other TripAdvisor reviews and despaired, but we really had no other choice so we took a room--and were pleasantly surprised! Our room on the ground floor... More
