In many ways this is a perfect hotel. You stay right in the center of downtown, and while the whole place could benefit from a makeover, it provides exactly what you need when on business - a clean room, a great bed, and a great location. No frills, but basically, and let's face it, a hotel room is where you...

You know what they say, "location, location, location." I would have expected much less for the price, given the excellent location. As it was, the room was good. Not great, but good. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The wallpaper was a bit dated, a couple of the light fixtures didn't work, and the TV reception was lousy. Too many coats...

When I made my reservations a month in advance I requested a quiet room away from the "L" tracks just west of the hotel. When I checked in and arrived in my room I realized that I was in one of the rooms closest to the "L" about a block away. I stayed in the room for a few minutes...

We chose this hotel because of the price. We reserved two rooms for 6 nights: one was a "deluxe" room and the other was standard. The more expensive room was well worth the price difference just for the view alone. The hotel is situated across from Grant Park and we had a wonderful view of the park, the lake and...

This is indeed a great price for this location, in a safe neighborhood right off of Grant Park. (The restaurants within short walking distance are somewhat sparse, however.) In addition, the room itself was quite clean.
There are a number of smaller issues, though, with the property:
1) The wifi is not the greatest. In fact, sometimes it was downright...

We reserved 2 rooms this weekend. From the time we stepped through the door our service was great. I left my watch in my room and called after I realized it. They federal expressed my watch to my home! It is an old hotel but very well kept. Location is great.

Great location, clean, no luxury. I would come again because of good value for price, compared with other hotels around. I agree with previous reviews. It you are on a business trip, this may not be the best choice, because the many small ( or moderate ) hassles you will run into, will be time consuming. For example, internet was...

Stayed 5 nights while attending to business elsewhere on Michigan Ave. Hotel is decent, not fancy. My king bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and housekeeping was efficient and prompt. Room had individual air handler with internal air conditioning, which I really appreciated as the temps the third week of March were in the mid to upper 80s....

My friend and his fiancee along with my wife and I went to Chicago this past St. Patrick's day. Our planning was last second and horrible which left us with Best Western Grant Park as our only option for a hotel in reasonable walking distance of DuSable Bridge (aka the Michigan Ave bridge over the Chicago River) that wasn't going...
