Pleasant and clean. We (my fiance' and I) were able to get the Chambre des Amis room and split the cost with our friend, who stayed in the adjoining single bed, making it more affordable than most hotels I looked at. Good breakfast, great neighborhood, free wi-fi, and they give you tons of info on nearby shopping/food/activities. Highly recommend!

Light and pleasant rooms in a very well run bed and breakfast. Great location in a very interesting part of town.

We travel to Chicago quite often and have been trying to stay out of the downtown area. We like to try new places and like to stay at a bed and breakfast on occasion. B&Bs are different from hotels so you need to know what is involved or you could be disappointed. The amenities are usually quite different and the...

Thanks for such a thoughtful review! I do think you hit on some very salient points.
Many prospective guests think that there is 24 hour front desk service, and although we live here, we are not always around. When I have no appointments for check-in I squeeze in as many errands as possible; my family and I also like to...

My wife and I made a last minute trip to Chicago and found this B&B. It's in an upcoming neighborhood. We stayed in the building across from the main bldg. It was nice, clean and felt like you had your own house on the block. Neighbors were friendly and location of this B&B was very conveinant to...

I enjoyed my stay here. My room was comfortable, clean and as described. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and just a 2 min. walk from the Blue Line. The common areas are very tastefully decorated and attractive. There is a second floor kitchenette available for use by guests. Although there was only one main...

Glad you had such a good time with us - it was great meeting you, too! Sorry you weren't happy with the Chef's Choice every day. As we aren't a commercial kitchen we can't offer multiple choices for the hot entree daily, but we try to alternate egg/savory dishes with sweet/french toast or waffles alternately. We always figure that our...

We were just in the city overnight for a Valentine's dinner at Tocco (it's great by the way). The House of Two Urns is very close and very reasonably priced. There are two homes and we were in the "second" house across the street. The room was, as expected, very small, but had everything we needed. The second story apartment...

We chose the House of Two Urns more for convenience and parking. We have relatives who live down the street and wanted to stay in close proximity to them. This B&B was an excellent find.
We had a king size bed in a room down the street from the main building. Kapra gave excellent directions to the back parking garage...

I loved my accommodations at the House of Two Urns! Every room in the place is beautifully furnished. The food was delicious and had plenty of variety each day. The best part was meeting Kapra and Miguel, our hosts. They went out of their way to be helpful during my first stay in Chicago.

Highest recommendations for this fab B&B. It's in a near perfect setting because the neighborhood is super lively and fun but the block where Two Urns sits is quiet and secluded. The neighborhood makes you feel like an instant local. Inside it's stunning, charming, an old fashioned look that just happens to have every modern convenience. The food is great...
