We stayed at this hotel when visiting friends for a weekend in July. When we got there to check in (after check in time) the room was not ready. So we decide to park the car in the garage close to the hotel. It took so long to park by the time we got done the room was ready. We... More

Just returned from three nights in Chicago during a very busy conference weekend. Most rooms were booked pretty far in advance, and the remaining rooms started at at least $125/night more than the Travelodge. It was better than what I had been expecting after reading other reviews, but then again I'm pretty easy to please. Definitely a little older facility,... More

I had to go to Chicago on a last minute business trip and got jammed with very little availability for the week I was visiting. I went ahead and selected this hotel knowing that it probably wasn't going to impress me and it didn't. The staff was helpful and courteous and they did the best with what they had. They... More

Booked this hotel in advance. Checked in. Room was disgusting: filthy carpet (puke stains between beds) rusted exposed pipes in room, mattresses were concave and looked like they came from a landfill, had one chair in the room with torn upholstery. In short this is your worst nightmare of a hotel. We immediately checked out and booked a last minute... More

Stayed here in January 2009, Booked at the last minute and was the best deal i could find in central Chicago. The hotel is really well placed, dated, but it is what it is. Rooms could be cleaner or more modern, but it was ok. Has a chinese restaurant connected to it downstairs which did decent food at decent prices.... More

Very essential room designed around a queen size bed. But, instead of it, it was clean, next to the millennium park and the staff was very friendly. 2 minutes far from the red line E entry and in direct contact with a self-service for breakfast. However there are many cafes in the area to start your busy day to visit... More

Visited Chicago two years ago and had to come back. Stayed somewhere else last time. Got this room through the Priceline "Pick Your Price" bid. I didn't even know what I was getting until it was charged to my credit card. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The location of the hotel is really great. Close to some... More

The hotel is old and needs a serious makeover, I even felt dirty taking a shower there! But worst of all, my friend who was staying there HAD BUG BITES on his body after sleeping there. More

I understand it is a very historic city that's why I love it, so old buildings can't be perfect. The location was good and so was the price. The room was not very clean, very cramped not big enough to comfortably accommodate a family of 4. One bed was pushed against the wall the other was maybe have 1-2 feet... More
