Stayed here a couple of times, including part of my honeymoon, & will definitely be going back. Great location right across the street from Grant Park & Buckingham Fountain on S.Michigan Avenue. Convenient for everything Chicago has to offer. Beautiful public areas & great Irish bar 'Kitty O'Sheas'. Good breakfast & a Starbucks right in the reception area. Highly recommend! More

While the mainline staff is friendly, this hotel is in general too expensive and incredibly incompetent, especially for conventions like the one I attended. In room internet is outrageously expensive. Elevators are impossibility slow, the television system goes out every time it rains and communications staff never seems to know what is going on - like when you're stuck on... More

The location is fantastic and the public spaces are grand and beautiful. Overall service was great. Then you get to your room. I have had larger rooms on a cruise ship. The king size bed took up most of the space. With the additional furniture crammed in, you barely had a 2 ft wide path. The bathroom was tired and... More

Very nice hotel with lots of history. We stayed Good Friday weekend. The only bad experience I had was at check in. Not enough staff to check everyone in. Took about 40 minutes of standing in line to check in. Because of the long wait we were upgraded to one of the newly renovated rooms. The room was very clean.... More

This hotel has such a rich history and could be brought back to such regal splendor. The elevators are very shabby inside and some of the modern updated interor clashes strongly with the old upscale style of the hotel. Let the modern hotels be modern and allow the Hilton Chicago be the grand old girl that she really was meant... More

Here for a business trip. Major construction outside our window. Complained but they wouldn't move us. Had to contact corporate Hilton to get moved. The location is nice if you want to go to the museum campus. Not so great for anything else. Took a lot of cabs. Wish the customer service had been up to hilton standards. More

Our first experience with this hotel was not great in June 2011, and I wrote about it on Tripadvisor. The person in charge of customer relations for Hilton Chicago contacted us and asked if we would be willing to come back so the hotel could try again. We just got back, and let me tell you, it was a totally... More

I stayed here for a conference in March, next time I will stay elsewhere (such as the W) and just take a taxi to the conference. This hotel is a typical large, busy conference hotel. It is also a bit out of the way with no stores or shops close by or places to run out and get a bit... More

This was our second stay at the Hilton on Michigan Avenue and both were enjoyable. The rooms are spacious by big-city standards, the lobby impressively grand and the history of this old and elegant building makes it a great destination for Chicago travelers. Plan to walk several blocks to get to the heart of the shopping area along the miracle... More

The Hilton has undergone a Reno for the most part - rooms are nice, but many areas remain the old, such as elevators that shake badly - cafe and snack bar are nice. House keeping is awful - wireless is good More
