Just returned from a week in Chicago, and we're disappointed to hear the the Seneca is being converted into rental apartments - what a loss to the Chicago hotel scene. This hotel has always been great value in a terrific location. Yes, the rooms are older but the the price is right and the staff treat their guests like family.... More

At first we reserved a king suite, but then when a one queen room was available for our dates of stay, we switched to that, figuring we wouldn't need a sitting room or dining room, we were there to sightsee and might as well pay the lower rate. Well, as for the one queen room.......when we arrived, it seemed to... More

If you are looking for a good hotel close to the Michigan Ave. shopping and other sights it is hard to beat the Seneca. Most of the rooms are suites and you get a great deal of room plus a kitchen for breakfast and to keep snacks when you want to have that convienance. The hotel is a little dated... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Seneca. Suites are perfect when traveling with children. Hot breakfast served in downstairs cafe a plus. Watertower Place is across the street, and since we were touring with grandchildren they could go to Lego and American Girl more than once. Foodlife (great food court in Macy's) a hit with the... We stayed at the Seneca March 28 - April 1st. Is the place a little dated... yes. Did we care.... no!!! The service was excellent. The staff were amazing and very helpful. To pay $130/night for a hotel room with a kitchenette and breakfast for 3 every morning was a find! The beds were comfortable and even though our room... More

Great hotel in an awesome location right next to the Hancock Tower. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful, nothing was too much of a problem. The rooms are simply awesome....we stayed in a suite with full kitchen, separate bedroom & 2 bathrooms. The biggest, best equipped, most luxurious suite we've ever stayed in! & the included breakfast was fab! Cannot... More

This hotel had a nice room and is well located. The only criticisms would be "Lousey" Breakfast, and a bit too hot - we couldn't control the temperature. More

Spent a long weekend in Chicago in late February. The Seneca was perfect for our trip - great location right off Michican Ave. I was participating in the Hustle up the Hancock stair climbing race, and this hotel is literally right beside the Hancock building. Our room on the 15th floor was huge with a great view of the Hancock,... More

I am a pretty easy going traveler. I don't complain. If a restaurant brings me the wrong food, nine times out of ten, i'll eat it anyway. This hotel is the exception. Location was incredible and lobby gorgeous. I was visiting Chicago to spend a few last days with my son before he moved to a new Naval Base. My... More
