Stayed four nights with family. I found the place to be very comfortable. Its old but good. You may not find a lot of luxury but the property is good. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom, living room and a kitchen. very convenient if you want to prepare your own food and save a few bucks or eat... More

I booked this hotel because it was the most affordable in the Magnificent Mile area for my 1st but short visit to Chicago & I couldn't be happier! We were upgraded from a Deluxe Queen to a King Suite due to being an Expedia VIP access member. The room was huge, not to mention that the apartment style setting provided... More

I really wish I hadn't stayed here. Most of downtown Chicago was booked for the night I wanted, so I was glad they had a room at the Seneca. But now it seems I know why. Here are the things I encountered in my stay: * Checking in the attendent was gruff - he asked for my card and ID,... More

This hotel is quite a find for the price. It's only a block off of the Magnificent Mile but is in a relatively quiet area. The kitchenette is well stocked and the rooms are big and comfy. It's not the most modern but I like the lived in feel and the staff were friendly. My parents stayed here as well... More

This is a solid 4-star property that has a few quirks which, if overlooked, delivers a clean, safe place to stay in the downtown Water Tower area. The rooms are suites, converted apartments, that are actually more than the average hotel guest requires. On my last stay I had a room with five closets, four of which went unused. I... More

Got a great rate in November. Loved having a kitchen to store milk, leftover pizza and a coffee maker. Staff were nice enough. Room was very clean and housekeeping even called us when they were unable to get into the room (we'd come back early to hang out and didn't want to be disturbed) to see if we needed anything.... Located next to the John Hancock the Seneca Hotel offers rooms with kitchenettes. It reveals an earlier period of hotel construction and shows it's age but offers a more economical space in a trendy section of Chicago. You can walk to the lake front or stroll Michigan Avenue. Be sure to request no smoking rooms if you are sensitive to... More

Second time here this time with entire family over Christmas holiday. Fabulous rate given and very helpful front desk staff. What stands out here is the cleanliness and the value for money. For the rate ( around $120) had a bedroom which led into a sitting area and dining area with kitchenette. The location gave our family easy access to... More

We stayed one night to shop the magnificent mile. We wanted a suite and this is an extremely well priced option. The room is actually a converted 1 bedroom apartment complete with kitchen. this would be a great option if you were staying for a week or more. It is an older hotel however and thus the bathroom is small... More

Recently stayed for one night in upgraded suite.........senior discount with full breakfast was quite a deal for $99. Huge suite..........hotel is a little outdated but somehow homey. Just 1-2 blocks from the Magnificent Mile....close to the Drake. Would definately stay there again. More
