Tasteful, well-appointed rooms in the middle of everything downtown Chicago. No pool or on-site fitness center, but the LA Fitness isn't far at all. Very comfortable, high quality bed; the bath/shower was clean and had good water pressure. Accommodations were a little tight for two, but when I'm in Chicago, I sure am not sitting in my hotel room. I stayed 2 nights at the Allegro this week for business. My room was tiny, with no real room to work, and the decor makes it look and feel dated and dirty. The hotel ran out of mini bar keys, so I couldn't even get a soda. The bathroom was microscopic. I won't be back. More
