My new husband and I rented out the inn for our wedding. Everything exceeded our expectations. The inn was beautiful and the staff was very efficient. The owners Chris and Ken went above and beyond the call of duty. Chris contracted to make a very modest cake for the wedding but then went all out and presented us with a... More

Had a trip to Pinehill Inn for two nights which was great weekday getaway. Rooms were spacious with tv, refrigerator, with a vast array of updated dvd movies. Hosts were so accomodating, and there was a kitchen with all sorts of snacks, homemade mufins, as well as a refrigerator in the kitchen filled with pop, juice, water, milk, bread, bagels, yogurt, milk, etc. with... We stayed at this B&B for a weekend getaway without the kids. Oregon, Illinois is only about 1-1.5 hours from the western suburbs of Chicago and has many state parks nearby. Pinehill is a very nice older mansion, but has many modern updates and other details that I have never experienced at other B&Bs. The updates include a small refrigerator... More

We loved the Pinehill Inn. The inn itself is beautiful as are the rooms. The amenities were the best. Each room had a refrigerator and a TV with VCR/DVD. There was a large supply of movies to choose from. There was also a well-stocked pantry that offered all sorts of snacks and drinks as well as home-made muffins. The breakfasts... More

(I stayed at this place four years ago, but the site format did not allow me to pick a date that far back.) I became acquainted with this place because of a gift certificate I received. My husband was wheelchair-bound, and we had encountered a lot of inaccessibility at some places. I called them (phone number 815/732-2067, toll-free number 800/851-0131)... More

My partner and I have traveled the States and the world staying almost exclusively at small inns and bed and breakfasts so I have a lot to compare Pinehill to and it definitely passed our test! The home itself is enormoous and very stately -- more so than I usually prefer, even. But once you meet the owners, Chris &... More

We stayed at the Pinehill Inn after driving out from Chicago for a weekend. It’s an 1870’s Villa that’s a historic monument – and it’s very beautiful. The new owners have big plans for it and were in the process of renovating other rooms. However, we had a very quiet and comfortable stay in Somerset room – a huge four... More
