This was our second visit and I know we shall return. The food was wonderful, the wine very good and the staff excellent. Lovely room with comfortable bed and good linen and a proper bathroom with space.

We stayed in Tollard Royal for a riding weekend and used the pub 3 times. Have visited the King John several times and have always had a very good experience. It creates a perfect balance between a friendly country pub and a high end dining experience. Great staff and fantastic menu, stylish design with a real feeling of comfort and quality.

Lovely pub/restaurant. Very attentive staff good atmosphere. When I looked at the menu I was disappointed by the choice, however, the food was excellent and none of the dishes diss appointed. I had the cheese soufflé which was very good and I would come back here just for the toffee apple donuts which were unbelievable.

Arrived on a cold winters night, to an almost empty establishment. Waitresses very welcoming and took time to explain items on the menu. Food was acceptable but our party thought a bit over priced compared to other venues in the area.
