Detailed Reviews
We booked the last room for the night. Manager was friendly and efficient. A friend of ours was overbooked via the call center, and the manager upgraded him to the suite. There's a function room, a clean pool with kid toys, a barbecue area. Outside was clean and maintained. room was fresh and well kept. The only downside is a bit of musty smell because it's an old property. We experienced none of the issues others complained about.

The staff was very nice however this hotel really needs some updating. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean but carpets were stained, curtains were torn and there was a really odd smell in the hallway. They should also mention when you are booking that the free breakfast that is included is just fruit and a few snacks in a zip lock bag.

Best beds in town. Friendly staff and best deal in town. When visiting family in Huntington, Rodeway Inn s my choice of hotel. I sleep more than 300 nights in a hotel. And Rodeway Inn is one of many hotels I look forward to visiting.

I was in room 124. Wed. 9-15 to Friday a.m. 9-17. Through a mis- interpretation of the motel room description, I thought I had booked an ADA room. When it was discovered I had not, the manager Jordon, provided me with suction cup portable grab bars for the bathtub. (Grab bars are what I was needing,) Then, through the security cameras, Jordon discovered I was having trouble getting back into the room. He met me half way with a new key. Other staff members: Amy and Tammy were very helpful as well. Amy made me a fressh pot of coffee when we discovered the pot in the a.m. wasn't very hot. For the online price of $40.00 plus tax, this motel had everything I needed except for a second bar of soap!!
working Internet, coffee pot pods, plenty of outlets and USB ports, microwave and fridge all provided.
I recently have stayed in other motels for almost twice the money that did not have everything this motel provided. Judy G.

+1
Having stayed here previously after it was taken over by new owners, we were horrified with the conditions upon arrival in our room. The carpets were stained and filthy, with gooey white stuff in piles, and the room smelled horrible. The fridge was a petri dish of germs with leftover food, and melted who-knows-what in the freezer. Families that were clearly living here were yelling and screaming at each other, with kids running the halls going in and out of rooms. Some door handles to the rooms in the hallway were broken and hanging loose. Doors were propped open by the safety locks, banging as the kids went in and out. We asked to be moved since it was clear we were in the middle of absolute chaos!
The next room was much cleaner, and smelled better too, however I wasn't impressed when I noticed the broken safety latch after moving all of our things. We could still hear everything from the next room through the paper thin walls, including a barking dog at 1:12 am!
The only positives were the beds were surprisingly comfortable, and they had to-go breakfast baggies at the front desk in the morning.
We asked when we checked out if there were families living here, and she admitted finally that they were housing people from an apartment building fire. Clearly they really should have had a separate block of rooms for overnight guests, and the bottom floor certainly would be a smarter choice for the families of out of controll children!
Never will stay here again!

I ended up there for like 6 weeks. I was in a handicap room. The room was adequate. The room and furnishings were old but clean. When I let management know some of the things that would make it easier for people to use the room they took notes and were very interested in what I had to say. I was informed the room was next on the list to be renovated. In my opinion the room was a three. The 5 stars were for the staff that treated me like family, but I also treated them with respect. They helped as much as they could. I also did not expect the staff to cater to me I did my best keep things as clean as possible. I did not treat the folks like they had to clean up after me. Maybe that is way they treated me as kindly as they could.

My experience at this hotel - now a Quality Inn - was less than acceptable. I was to be staying at the hotel for a conference nearby and had booked my reservation weeks in advance. When I made my reservation I asked if it would be a problem if I sent conference supplies to the hotel so I would not have to travel with them and the person I spoke with said that wouldn't be a problem. I addressed them to myself care of the hotel - as I had done at many hotels over the years - and assumed all would be good.
When I arrived at the hotel the young lady behind the desk couldn't find my reservation. She did eventually find it but when I asked for the items that I had sent to the hotel she couldn't find them. I went to my room and figured I would get with the manager in the morning and get it straightened out.
The room itself looked nice and the bed was fairly comfortable. The television came with a complex remote and a binder with a directions on how to operate the remote since it was required to switch between Direct TV and local tv. In the three days I was there I was only able to get three channels and all of them were advertisements.
My business requires a good internet signal so I can send and receive data and files from our offices. This was not the case at the hotel. I had trouble getting onto the wifi and went to the desk to ask if there was a trick to it or a password. The young lady at the desk said that it doesn't always work and that she would try to reset it but didn't want to screw anything up. The wifi didn't work the entire time I was at the hotel. This caused me to stay late at the local McDonald's trying to get things done when I could've been at my hotel with my shoes off.
When I checked with the manager in the morning regarding my package he handed it to me. IT WAS TORN OPEN AND ITEMS WERE MISSING FROM IT. OTHER MAIL FOR THAT HOTEL WAS STUFFED INTO IT. I ASKED WHAT HAPPENED AND HE SAID IT ARRIVED THAT WAY. HARD TO BELIEVE.
Every time I have stayed in a hotel the housekeepers have come in, made the bed and replenished towels, fresh soap, etc. The blankets on the bed were simply pulled up and towels were thrown on the floor. My bags had appeared to have been rummaged through as well.
$62 per night was a fair price for a normal room but not at this hotel. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was due to it being chosen by the conference organizers and thought it a good way to network with other people at the conference.
I will not stay at that hotel or any other Quality Inn again. It is a disgrace to the hotel industry.

We had 6 rooms at the Quality Inn. Our team of college athletes was playing at the University that weekend. It seems that the hotel is being operated and lived in by extensive family members. Although they were painting and updating the rooms, updates were not the issue. The fact that the multiple family members that stay in the hotel continued to be in and out of the rooms all night and slammed the doors was displeasing. We had to call the front desk multiple times because of the yelling and physical fighting that was going on in the room next to us. The last call that we made was either they call the cops or we will. It actually appeared that the people running the place might have been friends with the 4 people that were finally removed. When checking out the next morning the lady in front of us had been waiting for a while and wanted to check out as well. The "staff" was outside on the patio smoking and the lady had to go ask for help to get checked out. There were cleanliness issue in the breakfast room and the flies were horrible throughout the building.
One last note, beware of the reviews that describe this place as beautiful. It was anything but that.

We chose The Northview Inn and Suites because they gave us the best rate on long term stay, 6 months. So glad we stayed here.
The staff is excellent, very polite and helpful. Thank you, Amy, Kali and Brandon for going above and beyond!
Nice location, a little hard to find, worth the look. Clean and safe. Nice pool area and great hot breakfast.

People passed out and vomiting (drugs/alcohol) in the rear parking lot. Some ground floor unoccupied room windows open all nights. Exterior entry doors unlocked 24 hours a day. Filthy breakfast buffet with flies and gnats. Dirty room.
