Muncie is fairly grim when it comes to hotel choices. There are only a handful of hotels, and they are all lower to mid range chains out on the highway. It is hard to understand why no one has developed a hotel downtown or near Ball State University... But, that's what it is.

The Fairfield Inn Muncie is a great place to stay. The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. It could be updated though. I was able to get a good night's rest. It is close to everything. I recommend it!

It’s apparent this is an older hotel. The furniture and fixtures are aged and worn. The staff was adequate at check in, nothing special. The room stunk. Sweaty gym socks is about right. I would rate my experience with this hotel, as the worst I have ever had with a hotel in the United States, and Muncie. I have stayed at multiple hotels in Muncie, and would encourage you to stay at any other hotel than this one.

Very clean hotel room. The room had a big window and good lighting. Very basic. Did not use pool or hot tub. Free breakfast was standard.
