We studied many reviews regarding hotels, motels, inns, bed & breakfast establishments located in the Shipshewana area and eventually decided to book a room at The Van Buren Hotel at Shipshewana based on the numerous favorable reviews. The cleanliness of our room and the attention which staff of The Van Buren Hotel at Shipshewana pays to those seemingly minor but... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. Used as base for visiting all the Amish communities on the Heritage Trail. The King/couch room was great if one person wants to sleep in the separate BR while the other watches TV late. The rooms & hotel are spotless. The hot breakfast is perfect with eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, waffles, etc... More

This hotel converted from a Country Inn and Suites to a private hotel but same ownership. That is some times not a good sign for the hotel but in this case it is the same or better. Staff very helpful and friendly, Seriously clean in all areas. Excellent breakfast selections and good food. Good location for the area. If you... More

The hotel is beautiful! They have large porches with rocking chairs - I sat there enjoying the spring weather and listening to the clip-clop of the horses as they went by. When I stepped inside I was amazed at how nicely decorated and CLEAN it was. Our room was a very spacious King Suite with comfy beds and plenty of... More

We spent two nights at the Van Buren Hotel, Shipshewana IN. We had a double queen room on the third floor. Everything about the room and the entire property was immaculate. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, not the typical flimsy, lumpy, saggy stuff one usually finds. The beds were covered with white, yes, snow white duvets. No cheesy... More

I have stayed at the Van Buren a dozen times or so in the last ten years. It is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in regardless of price. I could not even find a piece of lint on the mirrors or carpet. The setting is very nice. We usually sleep with windows open all year and enjoyed hearing the... More

This is one of the finest Hotels that I have ever stayed in--and I travel on business for 10 months a year. Absolutely immaculate rooms and amenities. The entire staff is very professional and extremely friendly. They make you feel like you're right at home. You will NOT be dissappointed! More

We did a two night anniversary get-away and also visited some relatives in the area. Nearby Goshen was a nice little side trip. This former Country Inn and Suites has maintained it's high standards--something that doesn't always happen when a property goes non-franchise. More

Such a beautiful, well-kept hotel! It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were all outstanding and so accommodating. The breakfast was well stocked and had many choices. It was so quiet that we expected to be the only ones at breakfast but it was almost a full house! The hotel is just so clean and so quiet, it's a... More
