I enjoyed my stay overall at the Magnuson Grand Hotel. Desk clerk was friendly, parking was convenient, room was clean, and the view was wonderful!!! It is a location that has switched brands as some items were still old hotels branding on them, but overall, for the cost and location, very pleased.

The hotel is OK, on game day its fine, expensive but fine. Then, ALL hotels around South Bend are expensive on game day. Staff was not very friendly and rooms were clean enough. If its not game day go somewhere else.

Hotel was older so didn't expect everything perfect but room could have been cleaned much better and the smell in the room was not pleasant. We stayed on a Friday night. After arrival, we enjoyed the pool, which was older but well maintained. The hotel room, 1507, was spacious, had a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and supplied with ample fuffy towels. We were next door to two restaurant/bars.
