Room was fine...it was clean and large enough for two adults and the dog. Bathroom was clean and everything was in working order. Lots of commotion outside during the night but there probably isn't much that can be done about that.

First of all, this is a Motel 6. There are various Motel 6 locations all over the area. Some are better than others. This one is right next to an airport. We requested non-smoking, and got a non-smoking room. We walked in and it reeked of smoke. Okay, no problem, maybe the last guest didn't abide by the rules. We requested a second room. It was non-smoking as well, and again, it reeked of smoke. We just left. The worker behind the counter was friendly and sympathetic.

Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms, and the staff was right on the ball getting the driveway salted after an early-morning freezing rain. Typical Motel 6, great place to stay if traveling with dogs. Close to the IA state fairgrounds.
