Good location - convenient to Galena IL. - plenty of recreation on premise with Casino & Greyhound Track attached to the hotel. Houlihans restaurant also attached to the Hotel - so in bad weather you never have to step outside.

Room was clean but the basics were overlooked. The tissue box only had three tissues left. Two rolls of toilet paper both with about 30 sheets left. Details! Other than that the room was nice, with micro, fridge and a good quality TV & good internet.

When Allison checked us in she was VERY friendly as well as professional, we are currently making plans to stay again in June 2013. When passing through the lobby later she again greeted us We were impressed!

We were not there to gamble but if that is your thing the casino is right next door to the hotel. Great hotel to stay in though. My wife and I have stayed here several times over the past few years and always find ALL of the employees to be helpful and friendly. We agree that the bedding needs updating.
