I don't believe there are any other hotels in the Mt. Vernon area, so luckily this is a nice stopover. We were visiting Cornell College and were pleased. It is very close to campus and to a couple restaurants in town. Breakfast was nice too.

Sleep Inn is centrally located between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. It is a smaller hotel with a great pool area and breakfast. The kids enjoyed the stay. Lots of great places to eat and shopping to do in Mt. Vernon.

A very nice and clean hotel in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. We stayed here so we could have our pet and the room had two beds for my wife and I and my mother-in-law while visiting my son in Cedar Rapids. Hotel smells moldy - breakfast just so-so and the coffee was awful. The bathroom was clean and better than I had expected, but overall, just a so-so place to stay.
