We enjoyed dinner here one evening during a stay in Kent. It is obviously a popular place with locals and visitors, when we were there it was full and buzzing with conversation. It has a nice atmosphere with its wooden floors and hop decorated ceilings. We were impressed by the staff on duty. I enjoyed both my courses, a starter... More

We really enjoyed our three day stay. The large pub with a good restaurant is in a great position with ample parking and annexes to suit singles and families alike. WiFi is fiddly at first but fine. The rooms are small but clean and adequate. The pub itself has a good varied menu with attention to detail and piping hot... More

We stayed here at Easter on a trip with my daughter son in law and grandson, bringing them down to Kent where i grew up. We were very happy with the accommodation, and the staff could not have been more obliging and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The restaurant and staff, again were excellent with a large selection of... More

Just stayed here for 1 night. Perfection. Fresh cooked to order breakfast, room immaculate, clean, very comfortable, beautifully positioned. All this for a real value for money price. Lively friendly welcome. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. They even reserved a table for us in the wonderful olde worlde pub for the evening of our arrival. Got to go back. What... More

My daughter organised my birthday party in the new Pilgrim Suite at the Black Inn and it exceeded my expectations. We were brilliantly looked after by the staff particularly Ewan , Kimberly and Claire who helped make the evening run like clockwork. Kimberley helped my daughter organise and decorate the room and plan all those extra details that can help... More

I spent a weekend here in the middle of a two-week business trip. It offered a welcome country respite for a traveler weary of travel and cities. The rooms are really attached chalets, a little like a motel, but with a bit of grass out front instead of cars. The rooms are a little on the basic side, but are... More

Myself and 3 friends went to The Black Horse after a friend went there with his p[artner and commented on the great cuisine there. We all decided it that we would give it a try and were not disappointed at all. The concise menu was extensive and there were lots of specials too The service was prompt and the waitresses... More

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and found it to be a very nice and comfortable estrablishment if one is looking for a night in a local pub and acceptable meals at a price. Recommended to stay here by a friend who works nearby. Very glad we took the advice. What a refreshing change from normal options for accomodation and food in and around Maidstone. The room was ideal with good facilities and lots of space. Very clean, comfortable beds, excellent shower, decent hot drinks selection. Parking outside the door of the room which... More

Stay here on a business trip, good food serviced in the pub on the site. Rooms which are actually little chalets, are set in their own grounds, was a little worried about the cold, but actually woke up in the night having to turn off the heating !!! Shall be back for a family weekend.
