Dear Mr Mcnabb, I was talking to a friend recently and remembered your lovely hotel. My Mom and I along with our small dog were of all things being evacuated from New Orleans for a hurricane. We happened upon your Hotel which graciously took us in. We had the most enjoyable experience in your hotel and at the time a... More

Our ancestors built this hotel and I would like to see it succeed, but you will get out what you put in. After reading all 18 reviews it is clear the main problem with the hotel is the late night, loud music. I am aware of the economic situation and realize the owners probably need the money that the bar... More

My advice to all - keep away!!! We drove Interstate 49 to visit N.Orleans, and after it started getting dark we took next exit to find motel and entered Bunkie. Bailey was first place we found on empty streets - nobody to ask. After a few minutes of waiting at the reception desk we came to the hotel bar to... More

My husband & I just returned today from a two night stay at the Bailey Hotel in Bunkie. Took us hours to defrost from the very cold room. Never saw a person anywhere in the place except when bar was open, the locals hanged out there. We asked for ice, were told NO ICE, even though there is an ice... More

Well, unless the world has rotated backwards, I think the rooms all have central air and heat which were installed by Service Air of Hessmer, La. in 2001, and , at that time were brand new. We have had no complaints except for the one listed and, if there was a problem with a unit, we have several other rooms... More

Booked the room 2 weeks in advance. When my husband and I arrived, no one was at the front desk. My husband finally went in the bar and asked the bartender/front desk attendant to please help us. Our room was absolutely disgusting, the bathroom had not been updated, mold on the shower walls and bathtub. I went back downstairs and... More

I remember this couple as well. Never was a mention made that they were uncomfortable with their room. Yes to the fact that we kept the sink and bathtub original as they were in excellent shape, and again, the contractor reworked them and reinstalled. Yes also to the jibe that we have had to reduce staff in order to survive.... More

NIGHTMARE HOTEL!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! We were booked into a room on the 1st floor, overlooking the garden. We were awakened at 12:37 a.m. by loud voices and cursing right outside our window. The bar patrons gather there to drink and smoke and argue and cuss and keep hotel patrons awake. After 20 minutes, my husband and I packed... More

We do have a late night crowd on weekends which we do our best to contain, but they do, on occasion, misbehave. We do our best to inform our guests during weekend visits that they may want to be placed in a quiet section, if they are not going to join the revelers. Overlooking the courtyard is a great place... I booked a room for my daughter's wedding (not being held at the hotel) This was for a handicap room and was told it was directly across from the bar which got very loud. I accepted this as this was the only hotel in Bunkie that had space. We were forced to cancel our reservation due to the pending arrival... More
