Since this hotel converted to Doubletree brand a few years back, I have stayed a handfull of times due to location close to MSY airport and close to I 10. The property, which was a aging Radison prior, had made many improvements including carpeting, some furnishing and grounds. The hotel shuttle doesn't run on time. The beds are not the Sweet Dreams bed as advertised. Instead it was a broken Sleep Number bed. Hotel bar staff was rude and inconsiderate and the food and drinks were overpriced and mediocre (even for hotel food).

I stay here on business as it is very close to the airport, the hotel is ok nothing spectacular as the age is beginning to show. The staff was friendly and nice as always. We had a rental car, so getting back and forth from the French Quarter was easy. In fact, it was a welcome change to stay further away in that it encouraged us to drive around the city, which we never did when we stayed in the middle of everything.

Hotel is 5 minutes from airport, yet the shuttle waits are often as long as 45 minutes. Lobby is clean, pool looked good on this visit, room was fine.
